Future letter to myself 

Hey old man, it's sam, when you were 19, im sure you remember writing this in college. Damn. Its been a long time, 20 years huh? By now you should be close to 40, if you haven’t somehow died by some freak accident. 20 years, by now we should be well into our career in the army, army rangers of the 75th rangers. I wonder, did you end up going green beret too? Hell if you found that you did well enough in ranger training, then I would’ve hoped you have become a green beret. 20 years, i wonder, are you married? Did we get married. Well, if you are married, I wonder who it is, and where we meet her, hell maybe it actually is racehel. I hope you didn’t let her go, even when everything is said and done with us, we both knew that we needed her in our lives. Do you have kids? I hope not, we both know we don’t want kids, depending on who we marry, if we did, we could’ve changed our minds, but I bet we didn’t, we have more important things to focus on. I also hope you continued on with making costumes, whereever we are, if we stopped loving star wars, id kick your ass, well my ass I guess. We should’ve made it into the 501st, and I cant wait to see how our arsenal of costumes has grown, hell it would be amazing if we started working at Disney like we used to say. In all, I hope youre doing well man, if youre still alive. I hope mom and dad are still around to see how far we are, keep making them proud.

My name is Samuel Ventura, I go by Sam most often. I am a transfer student starting my first semester here at UT. I transferred from St Petersburg college, and am a junior. I am a criminal justice and criminology major, with a minor in digital media. Even though I am majoring in criminal justice, my hobby revolves around graphic design to an extent. I enjoy making costumes and props, specifically from my favorite piece of media Star Wars, and I figure that this class could help me to make projects dedicated to my hobby of props and costume making. My first feel from the class is first, wishing that it was in person, that way it would be easier, but so far it sounds to be an interesting class. What I expect from this class is that it would help me to create designs and projects that I can use for myself.
